OBS Studio causing my client to crash after the 28min mark - gave same error as scripting?
NOTE: This is being posted BEFORE the video is on Google Drive, and should be ready in about two hours (even if it says 1, I know how my internet functions. And I hate my ISP, but I can't control that because my parents deal with that sort of stuff) or less.
PC Specifications: HP ENVY Convertible (laptop two-in-one) AMD Ryzen 5 w/Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx - 2.00 GHz 8 GB RAM 64 bit OS, x64 based processor Windows 10 League of Legends 9.1 (Live patch) OBS Studio Ver. 21.1.2
This has already been made a ticket, and they had suggested to me that I should also post this on the Boards.
Beware, however, of two things; when watching the video, a lot of it is me trying to set up for Youtube (which I have decided against doing League of Legends on YT simply because I get too toxic for my own good). When you look at the video, skip to 43:51 in the video itself. At that point, it was around 28 minutes 35 seconds into the game, and the first crash occured. The first one did not give the 'unregistered 3rd party software' error, however the following three crashes did give the error. The third time, I ended up showing the error on the video as well by adding a Display Capture element.
As a note, I seriously question the Privatcy Policy and ToS for how murky they are on how Riot checks information during gameplay. In fact, there seems to be no mention that I saw of an active search in the background, yet there is a video on youtube that displays there is something actively searching the background. This is more of a secondary issue, but I still see it as a major problem. Riot, you really need to fix that because I don't know if it's only scanning things while the game is active or not, nor do I know why it was never mentioned as to this happening. I'm not saying go open-source for the anti-cheat, but just give us at least warning as to the extent of the detection while the game is running. Give us warning that it will be actively searching in the background while the game is running.
