Bad Client Loading

First of all, despite "low spec mode" there are a huge number of bells and whistle lightning and sound effects that cause my client to lag. We clearly need a lower spec mode. This is especially apparent in champion select, which has almost no visual effect reduction whether you turn on low spec mode or not.

Secondly, the client is clearly not fully loaded when it lets you in. When you freshly get into your Home panel, all of the buttons react extremely slowly when you click them. You need to wait a couple minutes for all the tabs to actually load in the background. This issue is extremely problematic in the Find Match screen.

You see, the client lets you click Find Match before it loads the resources for displaying the "Accept" button when it finds a match for you. I've had the unfortunate experience of "testing" this bug dozens of times. If I load my client, immediately click play and find match, what will happen is instead of showing the Accept button that takes you to select, the client will simply freeze as it frantically tries to load the Accept button.

When it fails to load the accept button in time, you get knocked out of queue for not clicking accept. You know, if my client isn't loaded enough to accept a match, maybe you should, you know, finish loading before I can enter the queue? If you aren't done loading you aren't done loading, pretending that the load is finished when it isn't is extremely obnoxious.

Oh and this sometimes persists into champion select too. Once you've selected your champion, it's possible the rune pages haven't loaded yet. So when you try to click a rune page to edit it in champion select, the client will freeze again locking you while the countdown is ticking.

If you haven't selected your summoner spells before entering the rune page, your spells are fucked.

If you haven't locked in your champion, congratulations on being blocked from queue for 5 minutes you champion select dodger. Or have fun taking a loss of lp for trying to edit your rune pages too early.
