Honestly I wouldn't be happy about it,because this specific ship is basically a joke from the community and I could never see it as something else.
Pretty much every other homosexual couple would be fine if it is well written and makes sense,just not these 2.

Ezreal x Taric was the old meme that came from the joke they are the only fabulous guys in the game, hence must be gay, hence must be together.
It's stupid and reeking of inappropriate machismo, current Riot has way more taste than that.
Besides, gay people don't even look like that. They look like the actual canon gay ship which you may or may not have heard of.

It is already meme and pretty stereotyping. People don't even know how gay men are (They're THAT ignorant tbh) would think all gay men are flameboyant and feminine even more.
Not saying It cannot be a possible ship and I'm not against this ship because of flameboyant personality of Taric and slightly feminine look of Ezreal (I mean, he is pretty and he would high likely be a model in real life). In the end, there are couples like this in our world, and if I want more diversity, I should include them too, which I do, but It just would be annoying to have them as our first gay couple. Just for the reason of feeding homophobics and It is being stereotyped af. Second or third and I'm super uber ok with it.

Maybe it's just where I live and interact with. But homosexuality isn't really made a big deal of. And I've seen enough media that deals with homosexual relationships that it's not even new or interesting anymore.
I would make the small comment, that it's a little stereotypical to make the first two gay men the lithe boy looking guy, and the one obsessed with gems and physical appearance.

Taric is a Demacian who is part god thanks to the aspects of targon
Ezreal is an archaeologist from piltover, a place that's much more advanced technologically and culturally, it'd be pretty strange
However I could see then meeting, ez is an explorer after all, maybe he'd wanna see if the rumors about the gold and silver city on top of Mount targon are true
