Mark/Dash on dead body?

So, you may have noticed the kill map. By blue base, there's a little blue dot where darius died. All of our towers were still up, and while it's feasible that he could have walked there (I mean, darius built pretty tanky), watching his portrait zip across the minimap to our nami who just respawned said that either he just used a global nocturne ult, or he just dashed to someone who just respawned, which should have been impossible.

Everyone in the match saw this, and I'm pretty sure everyone was confused, but according to the darius, he managed to mark nami's dead body, which shouldn't be possible(this isn't by design, right?). He either started dashing just before she respawned such that he wouldn't have reached the body before it came up, or he dashed after she respawned and the mark was still on her. I don't know how this is possible, I've never seen it before, but it was really fucking funny.

Also, fun fact, our nami's name was "this isn't water", which was just delightful.
