championship thresh bug

i was in a game where a thresh wearing the championship skin when after the lantern was thrown and i clicked on it, the particle effects on the ground just sort of stayed there for a few seconds and moved when thresh turned. i've never seen this happen before, thought it was a bit odd. (screenshot included for reference. i was standing over to the right side when i clicked the lantern, then the blue effects moved over to the middle of the lane when thresh turned.)
