Download keeps freezing at 677mb to go...

I've tried downloading 5 times now, and everytime I get into the 500s it flashes 'applying patches' and goes back to 677 mb to go and freezes there. It flips between .2 and .6 and the kb/sec slowly tank. I keep trying, restarting, but nothing. It will not download.

mine just tells me there was an issue installing the patch but there is no known reason. I cant even play the game now.
