just bought ekko and it cost me roughly 17,800 ip

There's been an on-and-off visual bug where sometimes store purchases seem to take double the amount of IP or RP that they really did. Log out and back in and it should be okay.
If it seems like it's really been taken away incorrectly, open a ticket with Support and they should be able to fix things.
