Three people in my previous game got an S on my team, but I didn't get a box?
I have a box and own two of the champions my team had that got S? I don't have a box for either this season either...

Were you partied with them? If you weren't then that is why.

is irrelevant.
If a teammate that your in a party with gets an S grade, the chest you will receive a hextech chest for the champion that you played, not the one that they played. For example, if your premade teammate gets an S grade on Jhin, but you were playing Leona, the chest you would get will count for Leona, not Jhin. However, the same restrictions still apply, meaning that if you had already earned a chest on Leona, or you don't own Leona, then you will not receive a chest.
