I Just Got a Warning About Being A Jerk On The Forums About 3 Minutes Ago..Haven't Posted In Days...

Impetual·5/18/2015, 11:44:20 AM·14 votes·986 views

The message had next to no information about my infraction. I have no idea what I did, and it seems to have happened during a period which I wasn't making any posts on this forum?

I'm confused, is this a bug?

Could I get some info Riot?

Time travel, man. The Boards have been experiencing all sorts of strange, temporal anomalies.

I blame Zilean.

Or they just somehow found and deleted one of your post written some time ago which they thought was offensive, or it really was either a bug or simply a mistake of some sort.

I had that the same problem once, where I received a notice saying that I was being a jerk posting homophobic slurs on my own region's Board, leaving me scratching my head trying to figure out what I actually did wrong. Since I have nothing against gays nor do I actively go on about the topic to random people online, the closest thing I would ever post that is even remotely close to being that sort of slurs would be "a pain in the arse" and that's really about it.

So yer.

Wow, sounds like a great moderating system where it just calls its community jerks with no contextual information.

It's that new thing they're trying were if they're mean to everyone they'll probably hit the toxic people too.

How infraction system should work.

If a person is assigned an infraction point, then this is how it should work

1.) On the top of screen where it shows comments should be a new box that is there called Infraction Points, along with a warning level. "Over time they decrease."

2.) When a person is "Toxic" or has a post removed it should save a copy which can be viewed by the user of the post in question.

3.) When points are assigned it will post another link to a URL Giving "Specific Information" about why you got a warning, and post deleted to the specific rules. "It doesn't help if you don't know what post was in violation of the rules."

A lot of times on many forums there are moderators who remove posts but never inform users of specifically what rule is broken, so to me these are the rules of the board, but sometimes moderators on some boards I have known like to step outside of the actual listed rules.
