This might be a BUg: The interaction between yi Alpha strike and Lulu polymorph is very weird

So how it goes is that every time I poly morph yi right before he alpha strike he doesnt turn into a squirel or whatever instead he is able to do his alpha strike and come back to normal yi while my polymorph is on a cooldown. I am like where did my polymorph go I am sure I used it on yi. Does all cc on him disappear when he alpha strike like fiora ult? I know he becomes untargetable when he alpha strike so why does my polymorph still goes off if he is untargetable. Their something weird happening. It screws lulu over because I just wasted my skill.

Whimsy becomes a projectile with a very short travel time when casted on an enemy. Since becoming untargetable breaks incoming projectiles, a well timed Alpha Strike can potentially render Whimsy useless.

I believe abilities that make you untargettable do, in fact, allow you to dodge CC abilities, even if they are targetted like Lulu's polymorph, so the part where Yi uses his alpha strike to dodge Lulu's polymorph I believe is working as intended.

Polymorph going on cooldown might have to do with the timing of the skill. I believe if the target becomes untargettable before the casting animation is completed, then it should not go on cooldown and the ability doesn't trigger at all, while if the target becomes untargettable between the time the casting animation ends and the ability hits its target I believe the ability should go on cooldown and the ability technically not trigger. Depending on how you and Yi are timing your abilities, it can be working as intended or not working as intended. Did Polymorph fully cast and and not reach Yi, or did Yi alpha strike before you finished casting Polymorph?
