Blitzcrank grabs champ but champ can not go through minions

I recently played a game with a blitzcrank support where he would pull someone but they would barely move because as soon as they reached a minion they would stop as if the creeps were blocking them. I also was having more creep block than usual. This could have just been one game but it is probably something to look into.
