Game freezing at 0 seconds in champ select, everyone stuck

Finally get into a ranked lobby where no one leaves and it freezes right before it starts. Not like my game freezes and crashes but rather we were all stuck at 0 seconds and the game just wouldn't start. We could all still chat and do masteries and everything but the game just wasn't starting. It got to the point where it seemed like the only solution was leaving, and a couple people did. Then after like a half hour the game starts and now half the players are missing because they thought the game was screwed.
