Sivir's spell shield sometimes blocks Alistar's combo
Instead of blocking the W, and getting knocked up by the Q, Sivir sometimes is able to block them both.

i have a hunch that alistar is using his pulverize before the W lands... which would result in this
but... in one of the patch notes, they SPECIFICALLY STATED that they fixed this...

Spell Shields We're aware this is a small nerf to Sivir and Nocturne, but this was definitely not an intended behavior. WHOOPS: Fixed an issue where Sivir's Spell Shield, Nocturne's Shroud Of Darkness, and Banshee's Veil reduced damage from all sources when blocking a spell. Now periodic damage and auto-attack damage are unaffected by spell shield.
So I'm guessing the damage is blocked from pulverize, but the knockup (the part we actually care about, the 1.5 second cc) still hasn't been fixed?
No, Alistar's combo often causes the w not to do damage, because you are interrupting it with your q. The w never lands, so the shield never procs. Your q is then blocked. You have to wait for the w to block it and then q in order to combo a spell shield successfully
I saw this on reddit once and sivir's shield can sometimes also block two "attacks" at once.

Yeah, I think when the combo goes down it counts it as a single ability, with a knockup+back and the damage of the two combined.
You'd think in this case Sivir should be knocked either up or back, depending on which is blocked. But neither is happening?
