As the title says, if you use just your passive and the ally gets a kill, you will not be granted an assist.
1.Use Zilean passive on an ally
2.Have the ally get a kill within 10 seconds
Just be careful so you don't auto by mistake (or use your abilities).
I don't know if Zilian's passive is intended to give assists
I'm not sure why it would give an assist in the first place, you're just dumping off some XP every so often. Surefire assist by throwing that E on your Ally though.
Honestly, you'd kinda have to go out of your way to even have this situation happen. If you were close enough to use your passive on an ally, and they immediately killed someone.. I'm not sure why you wouldn't be helping? Even if you're super low, if you're close enough for the passive you're close enough to throw a speed boost out.
