Legacy Client No Longer Working, Tried All Workarounds

Referring to the title, I can no longer access the better, easier, faster Legacy client. Everytime I click Launch Legacy client, the main client closes but it just says "PVP Kernel has stopped working". I've tried editing the config to opt out of the client to no avail. I really dislike how sluggish the new client is in champ select. Please help.
