in game input response glitch

just had a game in which ahri and i (xayah) both were having an issue where at random times we would have these weird "lag" patches where everything would be going completely normal but our champions would respond to clicks and ability casts 1-3 seconds late or not at all. it would do this at random points in the game, sometimes lasting a few minutes, sometimes only lasting a couple seconds. i should note that it was very obviously not an equipment issue for either of us because we both saw the clicks visually and the mouse moving (keyboard cant really say) but the game would respond either late or not at all. please either fix this or tell me how to fix it if its something on my end, because i cant exactly hop into any games with it like this
