Client went black at Champ Select

So I'm queuing up for a ranked game, I press accept when I find a lobby...and then nothing. The client goes black with a message "retrieving data from server" that never goes away. It stays that way all the way through what I assume was the others in the lobby going through champ select before it gets to me and it counts me as a dodge even though I never connected to the lobby to begin with.

I have NO idea how to replicate this (never happened before), but now I'm forced to wait 5:30 before my next queue can begin because the server never connected me to the room...
