[GAMEPLAY] Diana W-Pale Cascade vs Yasuo windwall

Normally when the 3rd sphere detonates, Diana's W-shield will begin its cooldown and she'll get a bigger shield. If any of her spheres explode on yasuo's windwall, the spell will not go on cooldown regardless of the 3rd sphere detonating on a unit or the windwall.

Steps to recreate:

  1. Have Diana cast W-Pale Cascade
  2. Have Yasuo cast W-windwall.
  3. Have Diana walk into the windwall.

Result: all orbs destroyed and Diana doesn't get the 2nd shield and her spell does not begin its cooldown until the normal timing for the pale cascade to expire passes. Expected Result: all orbs are destroyed and Pale Cascade begins its cooldown. Probably doesnt get a 2nd shield?

The projectiles aren't detonating, they are 'disappearing' it's a major difference for how Yasuo windwall works. They don't react like they had hit something, they just go poof. Since the pale cascade orbs didn't actually detonate, 2nd shield isn't activated, I think this is WAI.

Say, if a Ziggs Q hits a windwall, it doesn't hurt people on either side of the windwall like it had exploded, it's just gone.

the shield not happening is pretty fair. but the big problem is that the spell doesn't go on cooldown correctly. Once the spheres are gone it's supposed to begin its cooldown, but if the W poofs against the wind wall the cooldown doesn't begin until the normal completely unexploded W expiration time passes (5 seconds from cast).

This also happens if only 1 sphere poofs against the wall and the rest explode on someone else.

This sounds like a mild case of the spaghetti codes though. I mean, I can see how the coding would work for this interaction to happen this way (Something along the lines of: the trigger for cooldown and shield being the same, and being the detonation of 3 spheres) It's not -exactly- a bug, but merely an unintended consequence of ancient coding.

I can definitely see where the bug would come from a coding standpoint, but from a gameplay standpoint its pretty awful

Definitely a bug, i would report it if i were you to the bug section, Iv'e never had my W blocked by a Yas windwall when iv'e played diana, but at the same time i fake out his windwall first with some Q's before i ever snowball him, so that may be why.
