Leaver Buster not working properly

I had a pc issue that caused the game to become unplayable. i quickly restarted my computer and hunted the problem down and repaired it as quickly as i could. Then started league and rejoined the match.

i was cought by leaver buster and could only type "i agree"

clearly something is not working correctly, as i did not leave the game, i disconnected temporarily. SURELY something is bugged, i cant imagine that Riot could possibly be so short sighted as to not account for a legitimate issue, and not grant clemency to those who do everything within their power to prevent and correct any disconnects that causes them to abandon their team.

Kindly appropriate sufficient personnel to this complete breakdown in your punishment system.
