Minimap Bug

I have encountered a bug with the minimap briefly showing champions to be in the incorrect location. I was playing mid on the blue team when i saw the enemy jungler briefly appear at the golem camp in the bot lane. Roughly 2-5 seconds later, I was ganked by the enemy jungler from his red side jungle. I am unsure how to replicate this bug as it seems to occur randomly but it has had substantial impact on the game when the enemy turns up across the map from where you saw them 2 seconds previously.
