Mute function not properly muting emotes

I keep seeing threads about how we need to be able to mute emotes to stop spam harassment.

This is very odd, because I have confirmed twice through my own game and also finding a Rioter source about when they implemented the 'Mute' function silencing emotes in patch 1.0.0.154.

Apparently it has broken and Mute is not silencing some or all emotes. Please look into this.

#If anyone is unable to mute emotes, please submit a Bug Report and/or a Support Ticket for it.

You might also try the ignore function as well in the meantime.

There used to be a mute or ignore option before when you went to click on the name. The mute meant you wouldn't see chat but still see pings, the ignore was complete silence. I haven't played in several months now so I don't know if they took that out.
