game crashed in champ select

Was just sitting there in champ select, waiting for my turn. Decided to change my ward skin, as soon as I did that the client froze and told me the program is not responding. I've seen a ton of other people on the boards with similar issues. what gives? the client keeps crashing for ppl all the time
