high ping spike then bugsplat

so so far twice this week, I have been in a game (one normal the other ranked just now), and my ping will spike to aroun 600-700 ms and then right after I alt+tab out to see of anything is downloading in the bacround and go back into the game it gives me a black screen with the waiting cursor (little blue circle) and then closes out and gives me the bugsplat page. during the normal game it didn't really matter to me because y'know, it was a normal game, but it messed up my ranked game because I was jhin and my team was defend in our open nexus, so had I stayed connected I probably could have turned the tides in the defense (not for certain just speculating on that though)
