[Gameplay] Abilities and Attacks hitting after you've dodged out of the way?

I main bring this up for Jax and Chogath as I recently played two games. One against a Cho'Gath and the other against Jax.

The game mode was ARAM. I had Ezreal against Cho'Gath and Vayne against Jax.

In the first game (against Cho'gath) I had used Ezreals E to avoid Cho'Gaths knock up, but still took damage and was stunned with no knock up.

The second game I had tumbled away with Vayne's Q and was hit by Jax via something (Idk Jax's abilities as I never played him before), but whatever it was hit me when I was a good 600 units away from Jax as I had E'd him to knock him back then tumbled away, and it was when I tumbled that I was hit by something from Jax. I know it was Jax as he was the only one around me.

So, maybe this is just a glitch or maybe an actual bug, but I thought I'd bring it up since it was really weird.

Latency / high ping ?

Nope, both my ping and latency were quite normal. Everything was running smoothly on my end.

Especially when it happened multiple times with them, I don't think it was just coincidence.

Jax E is AoE ability, it'll effect everyone. Vayne tumble will make her invisible not untargetable. Thou' his E range is low, so it must have hit you while you were in tumble and showed it's effect after the tumble.. 600 units away.

IMO, it's not a bug.

Idk the exact units I was away from him. As I said, I had also knocked him back with her E before Tumbling.

Idk what it was from Jax that hit me, but what ever it did it hit me after the tumble when I was not near Jax.

As for the Ezreal thing...Just seems weird. I was well out of the radius of the knock up, yet still got stunned, but with no knock up animation. It combined to two into a long stun.

These might just be a rare occurrences where a slight frame made the difference, but you never know. If hit boxes are getting all wacky don't you think it's worth mentioning and letting them test it to make sure? shrugs I just thought I'd let rito know.

Hmm, ez incident is strange. ( Jax ability has no knock up animation and stun is short duration, unless he got jg buffs + Masteries)

No, no. Jax thing was with Vayne. Ezreal thing was with Cho'Gath's knock up. I had used Ezreals E to get out of the knock up zone, but it would still knock me up without the animation and stun me. The stun would last as long as the knock up and normal stun together. It was weird.

That's why I brought both these issues up in case it was something not intended, but happened due to hitboxes or something.

Jax Q is targeted. so even if you Q away. or flash. or just move away. you will still take the damage even if the animation doesn't lane on you. and yeah. the game isn't really too accurate. latency and in game stuff involved. I mean even in 0 latency in lcs or so you see some random thresh hooks that weren't even close. you have to dodge the chogath knockup way earlier. even if u E away with ezreal. if the damage is procced at the same time your Eing. you will E away but still take damage. its pretty stupid but . not much we can do about it

If the attack landed then should I not have taken the damage BEFORE I E'd Jax and then tumbled a way with Vayne? Only attacks that I know follow if they are targeted is ranged attacks because they have a projectile, and from what I know of Jax (which isn't much so I may be wrong) his abilities are mostly all Basic Attack amplifiers. So his Q would be a basic attack targeted ability wouldn't it? Therefore no projectile so nothing to chase you. So being out of range would...or imo should negate the damage. After all. If someone were to throw a punch at you and you dodged out of the way...but were still punched would that make sense?

Idk, maybe you are correct. Still, seems weird.

no. jax Q is a gap closer that locks on you. its not a basic attack. and its not a projectile. he leaps to you. if you move away. he lands at your old location. but you still take the damage.

thats just how the game works. I mean what do you make sense of a basic attack chasing you after you move perpendicularly to its trajectory lol. magic. real life logic isn't same as lol logic.

Well, I understand that it is a game, and some real world logic doesn't apply. Still, hitboxes however should not be so lenient. Imo anyways.

Also, with you saying that it is a gap closer...I'm guessing it is the spinning fly thing he does right? Yeah, it wasn't that which hit me. I know this because he had closed the gap and used it as well as damaging me with it before I hit my E on him with Vayne. Then I tumbled away as he was running back towards me. It was after I tumbled I took more damage from him before he turned his attention towards my teammate by him.

As I said, I don't know much about which ability is which, but if it is that flying jump attack thing, he had already used it and damaged me before I E'd and tumbled. Afterwhich I had taken more. It was weird.
