[Gameplay] Akali's dash travels slower

Akali dashes much more slower since Patch 5.9, players have already noticed this back when the patch was rolled out on the pbe, yet it goes unnoticed by Riot and no fix in sight.

PBE Patch 5.9 - introduction of strikethrough on Akali's dash https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5dK-aEgcEI

Before Patch 5.9 - no strikethrough on Akali's dash https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqj09iPy6JY

The extra distance gained from the strikethrough obviously will extend the travel duration, but it is extending it far longer than it should. The missile speed (source) hasn't changed so the new dash should take the same amount of time to cover the same amount of distance as the old dash but this isn't the case.

Hence why Akali is visually dashing slower than compared to her old dash before Patch 5.9 because she is actually taking longer to reach the end of the dash.

TLDR - Akali's dash speed got nerfed since Patch 5.9 and goes unnoticed ever since for 7 months (and counting).

Agreed. Now that we have our mark acquired, we should remain focused and do whatever's necessary to correct this, without question, as balance dictates, and as soon as possible. After all, hesitation is the seed of defeat.

You seem to be an akali player, so i guess you will understand.

Yup, the dash was so fast before compared to now. How can something like this not get noticed cos getting it fixed is quite easy.

Went unnoticed for 7 months.

So... why does it need fixing rather than just being documented?

If you read the post, you can see that I asked ricklessabandon about it and he said that the missile speed didn't get changed, and never has been changed since release, so that means the dash speed cannot get slower by changes that were done on purpose.

It got slower because they added the strikethrough. Goes to show that strikethroughs work differently than normal dashes.

Although I feel like things like these should be addressed as soon as possible, i'm almost certain that this is getting fixed in near the near future, as Akali's abilities are getting reworked soon.
