Cannot set anything to mouse buttons 4 or 5

I currently use a razer deathadder chroma, which has 2 additional buttons on the side, which I use for pings and my trinket. My computer had issues(had to reset it a few times) and the client will no longer recognize these buttons as legitimate. Every other application will, however.

This is a windows issue brought by a recent update. You can use Synapse to map those buttons to mouse keys though, and it works. I have my one mouse button set to Z which I use for melee attacks in Overwatch.
