Screen locked minimap left clicking takes ~1-2 seconds to snap to where you're clicking
Okay now hear me out, I know this is an extraordinarily specific issue and I'm not sure sure if it's a bug from the new cursor update or a feature to help new players not accidentally move their screen away from their champ, but this affected me about 100 times in the first game I played this patch so it's really hurting my enjoyment of the game.
I know it's a meme but I play with screen lock. Now, I don't play exclusively with screen lock. It's probably on around 25-50% of the game and I toggle Y when I want to scroll away and snap back to my character. When I'm in lane trading with my opponent and when I'm in teamfights I keep screenlock on just because moving the screen is one less thing I have to worry about. If you don't know, you can click the minimap while in screen lock to instantly see the part of the map your cursor is on. However, this last patch made it so instead of instantly moving your screen to said point it takes like 1-2 seconds to do this. This is extremely annoying. As someone who has habitually spam clicked around the minimap to see where things are happening for years while keeping my champion a button depress away in case I get attacked, this is really annoying. I do a screen locked "scout" literally hundreds of times a game.
I know people will say "just learn to play without" or "just unlock screen and do it, then re-lock it after" (because when screen isn't locked surprise surprise you can instantly click to see a part of the minimap) but this is literally years and years of muscle memory. Pressing Y to unlock my screen and then clicking the minimap, then pressing Y again to relock takes more button presses and more fractions of a second than my old method. Oddly enough, if you start clicking off the edge of the minimap then mouse into it the snap is still instant in screen lock, but then you need to move it to where you want to look.
Wowee three paragraphs for something probably a hundred people noticed. TL;DR, this feature or bug (not sure which) is basically putting 500ms on an action I do many times a game. There's no reason to make the UI more clunky of all things, it doesn't even really have to do with game balance. Please fix Rito.
