Keys stopped working

I meant to post about this a while ago. Sometimes when I play, my keys will shut down in-game. I won't be able to use abilities, buy items, or type to chat. I tried to see if I could fix the problem by disconnecting and reconnecting but I couldn't even open the escape menu. All I could do was walk and use basic attacks. And if I left clicked, it just flashed the "be careful" signal. At first I thought this was just a bug with certain characters, but that doesn't seemed to be the case now. It usually lasts for about 10 minutes and then stops. Could I please get some tips on how to fix this?

This used to happen to me. I'd type something in chat and then none of my keys would work. I was able to alt-tab out of the game, though, and once I brought the window back up, everything would work as normal again.
