Gromp Camp Reset While Blue is Aggro

Situation: Started taking blue buff (Blue side), then changed my mind and went after Gromp camp. While the blue camp was following after me, and even when they returned to their camp spot, the 'patience' meter on gromp quickly ran down to zero, even as i was in its face dealing damage, to the point where it started regenerating its health again. I'd be surprised if this was intentional behavior
