Viktor Q bug

So in my last game I was in lane phase and pushed my enemy back to base. During so I used my Q on a minon to last hit it and my empowered auto on a tower. The empowered hit activated twice consecutive. I tried it again to see if it worked and it did. I also tried this on a inhibitor the empowered hit worked four times consecutive. I'm not sure if it works before I augmented my Q because I didn't try it. Ether way this is a pretty easy thing to spam with CD and high AP for taking towers. Any input on this?

That does seem weird. Are you actually getting the bonus damage off of Q or is it just doing the animation?

Well I noticed the mini box above my abilities also doesn't go away while I am still doing the empowered autos saying its empowered.

I'm pretty sure that you don't actually get the extra damage from the empowered Q, it just plays the animation, similar to Jax's W and ultimate.

This is correct. Been around forever, though it's only the ultimate for jax, the W damage does hit towers for jax I believe. It's also the case with Gragas' W and Poppy's Q (though hers does act as an AA reset).

It's an onhit effect, not an attack modifier (like nasus Q), so it doesn't work on towers. Because it would make no sense to remove the buff when attacking the tower, the animation plays, but because the buff isn't removed, the animation doesn't stop playing until the buff times out.

Ok Im'a just copy and paste Viks Q for you then counter the fact that Nasus Q does work on towers with this video. So I don't see why it wouldn't work on tower for Viktor.

ACTIVE: Viktor shields himself for 2.5 seconds, deals magic damage to the target enemy, and Discharge modifies his next basic attack within 3.5 seconds to deal 「 20 - 210 」(+ 100% AD) (+ 50% AP) magic damage.

I think you misunderstood my comment, I was differentiating the two, not saying they were the same thing.

However, I think my reasoning behind it might have been incorrect, so I retract that part.
