So one day I decided to secretly play doom bots when im supposed to do hw and it was going fine til my parents came in so I closed league of legends.After my parents left the room I opened league again and joined back and in the end we lost but then I got a leavebuster.Kinda my fault I left during game and joined back soon later but I think it may be a bug because I've seen people disconnecting then reconnecting after about 5mins and they don't get leavebusters

If you are basing the assumption that they did not get penalized on whether their name was red in the post-game screen or not, that doesn't indicate they won't get punished so is not reliable. Also, if you leave very rarely you can get away with a leave with no penalty whatsoever.
