Kicked from champ select

Jumped on this morning, went into a ranked game. It goes to the pick champion part, I still have 20 seconds on the timer and it then I get kicked out.

A little pop up says "you failed to select a champion." Then it tells me I abandoned the game and have to wait 5 minutes.

So, just stopping by on here while I wait the 5 minutes to let Riot know this is an issue. I still had time left on the champion select (plenty of it actually) and it auto kicked me before giving me a chance to actually select anything.

Going to try again in a few more minutes and hopefully it was a one time bug (or at least very rare). Just a heads up.

Most likely you lagged out and your client didn't know a person locked in with 20 seconds remaining, so continued the timer to 0 and moved to you automatically (making it look like you had more time than you did). If you get frequent lag spikes/packet loss, this is very possible to happen often.
