Veigar's Cage didn't hold Shyvana

I got my cage up around Shyvana, she ulted out of it, being stunned as she left. This is the old behavior of the cage. She should have been stopped.

On closer review, it looks like she triggered her ult right as the cage went up on the far wall. She got the stun particles instantly, clearly indicating that the wall was up (the only other ally champion nearby was Vlad, who lacks a stun). Shyv's ult proceeded to go through the center of the cage, and through the opposite wall, standing stunned on the opposite side afterwards.

The stun is only once per cage, so the knockdown probably is too. What I would guess happened is this:

  1. You put the cage down
  2. Shyv hits R and starts her animation
  3. Your cage comes up, stunning Shyv. If she was in the middle of her dash, she would be knocked down, but she's still getting ready to jump.
  4. Shyv finishes her leap animation and starts to jump
  5. Shyv hits the second wall, but since she already got stunned by the first wall, it has no effect
  6. Shyv finishes her leap outside the cage

Only issue with this is why stun doesn't interrupt the R animation and prevent the jump. Maybe it's like a Riven self cancel: if Riven starts her windup right as she gets stunned, she'll finish her Q during the stun duration.

Has anyone else seen similar behavior on the cage, or was this a weirdly specific interaction between Shyvana and Veigar?
