Is a stun supposed to prevent commands?

I noticed that when I get stunned if I try to click a new move command, when I unstun I continue moving as if no new command was entered. Now this does make some sense and I can easily believe its supposed to be this way. In my mind, however, when I click a new move command it is like my character changing its mind. So in terms of what is implied by "stun" I can understand why the champ wouldnt be able to change its mind while stunned. Also just based on the mechanics of the game, if no commands can be entered then how can my character know to move in this new direction when unstunned? I feel that the current description of stuns' effects is a little misleading. Currently I picture a character who is frozen in place, able to try whatever it wants but nothing will work, which means I can change my champs' "mind" by entering a new destination but my champ can't respond until the end of the stun. This is all based on the description on the lol wiki. If there is a better one out there if someone can point me in the right direction...
