[CLIENT] Memory Leak Upon Logging In

Upon typing in my credentials, the client freezes my computer in the process of closing the login screen and opening the in-client screen. For 20 - 30 seconds, my entire computer is frozen and unusable, I have to wait until my computer unfreezes to do anything.

This only happens upon logging in with LoL. My computer does not freeze otherwise.

Running Windows 8.1
NVIDIA Geforce Graphics
All drivers up to date
All Windows updates installed
All other gaming software (DirectX etc) up to date.

Steps to Reproduce

Login to LoL to freeze
Log out and restart machine
Log back in to LoL to freeze again

Fixed as of Patch 5.13

Pretty much the same thing happening to me, but I'm using a Mac. Submitted a request to Riot support, but still no answer. The Client just says "Logging On" and then crashes..

Are you running NVIDIA graphics as well? And does the client crash and refuse to log you in or do you freeze and eventually unfreeze?

I'm running AMD Radeon. I can log in just fine but after a few seconds the client freezes my computer for about 1 minute, but then resumes just fine as if nothing happened.

Edit: Oh ya, and it ONLY happens after the first log in

Exactly the same thing I'm experiencing, but with Nvidia graphics, which means it's not an issue with Nvidia graphics specifacally. What operating system are you running?

This should have been fixed in Patch 5.13, are you still experiencing it?

Yup got the exact same problem. Currently have not found a solution and that is why I am here.

Submit a ticket also, you probably don't want to, but we can share replies and see what works until Riot fixes it.
