Using map to view teammates - Ludens Ekko afflicted me while at base

Was playing a game of Aram and had died so was at base, was Karthus so basically when I spawned I selected to move up the map but was viewing the fight at the enemy inhib. I was not even to our own teams second turret when Nidalee landed a spear on one of my teammates. The Ludens Ekko she had then procked me from her base to our second turret.

Has to be a bug, could be that I was viewing the area and waiting to ult so pretty sure just viewing the area had the negative affect and Ludens Ekko saw me as in the vicinity.
