Thresh cannot buy runaans, he can buy tiamat and hydra, but he can't use their active. http://imgur.com/H6a7DMy

I would imagine it is because his Auto Attack isn't a projectile (it never leaves the chain and it penetrates Yasuo's Windwall and Braum's Unbreakable). Did Tiamat's passive activate?

To add to this, thresh with rageblade gets stacks as though he were ranged. So, is he ranged or melee?
