champion select, game crashes

this happens to me quite a bit and now its got me waiting a half hour before i can play. but sometimes when i click accept the client will freeze and not respond. after a few seconds it will start working again just like it should. then a few more seconds later it will just close even though i didnt touch a single key or click at all with the mouse and ill have to log in again. i really dont think its anything to do with my computer seeing as i can do whatever i want in the background while the game is frozen (browse the web, etc.) idk if this can be called bug since idk whether other people have this problem or not, but its still annoying and if anyone know a fix, please share it with me.
