[Gameplay] Akali's dash travels slower

Akali dashes much more slower since Patch 5.9, players have already noticed this back when the patch was rolled out on the pbe, yet it goes unnoticed by Riot and no fix in sight.

PBE Patch 5.9 - introduction of strikethrough on Akali's dash https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5dK-aEgcEI

Before Patch 5.9 - no strikethrough on Akali's dash https://youtu.be/W-Bpf2AIe2s?t=16m50s

The extra distance gained from the strikethrough obviously will extend the travel duration, but it is extending it far longer than it should. The missile speed (source) hasn't changed so the new dash should take the same amount of time to cover the same amount of distance as the old dash but this isn't the case.

Hence why Akali is visually dashing slower than compared to her old dash before Patch 5.9 because she is actually taking longer to reach the end of the dash.

TLDR - Akali's dash speed got nerfed since Patch 5.9 and goes unnoticed ever since for 7 months (and counting).

Oh another one of these, keep it up you have my support.

That strike-through is really bad, i really wished that they just didn't do that and did other alternatives. The videos clearly show a increase dash time even tho it shouldn't because the missile speed hasn't change.

Even if Riot increased the missile speed to fix it, I rather not have the strike-through, it so retarded to play Akali in mid lane that I flat don't play her there anymore because it always places you under their turret when you try and harras your lane opponent post-6.

Its more obvious the closer you are to the target as well. Having so many Akali games before this change, the closer the target is to Akali, the dash was instantaneous. Since the change, it hasn't been the same and has cost me several killing blows because the dash speed was so slow, so this does heavily affect Akali's performance.

Simply put, the new dash is way too slow and the old dash was lightning fast. With a slower dash speed, it defeats the purpose of gaining any extra distance because the target would of moved away from the landing location.

These threads keep popping up, it's good because this is a real issue. It'd be nice to hear from Riot about this issue though.

I think Riot has seen this by now but they don't care. Akali has been pretty bad for an entire year now and has a slew of problems (this one included) but I think they are just going to turn a blind eye until the assassin rework rather than make her competitive in her current state.
