Second update for 7.1 (1/13/17) is stuck at 0% and disconnects from the servers after a minute

It's always stuck at "Files Scanned: 1 releasemanifest" (or replace 1 with 2) at 0%, and it disconnects from the servers a couple minutes after logging in forcing me to exit. I can't find any folders for League of Legends (other than the one that has the "Highlights" and "Replays" folders in it), so I can't clean out League's folders or anything. Any time I've had this problem with other games, reinstalling the client has never done anything. What do I do? Also, as I was typing this League made the "ping" noise that normally signifies it's done updating, but I went back to it and had the same text as above with the same progress.

Update: it just randomly started downloading files after around an hour after I first tried. Hopefully it'll actually finish this time, and I hope it doesn't happen again.

I just went in and tried to get in a match of Ascension, and I couldn't start a match because the champs were missing and my rune page didn't show up. I think it's officially safe to say that Patch 7.1 is extremely bugged and shouldn't be played on in the Beta Client. I'm going to try Legacy Client right now and update on what happens.

Legacy Client works like a charm, everything's perfect there. I advise that anyone who hasn't already gotten 7.1 updated to please treat the Beta Client with wariness this patch, and if it doesn't work for you then just go to Legacy until Riot's confirmed that it's not bugged any longer.
