Crashing - URF

I love when this happens... it hardly ever seems to happen on normal game modes but it always has to happen every once in awhile when I play one of the featured game modes.

Today it came when I tried to load URF for the first time

I always get that cannot connect issue, and yes I've tried the things on https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201761974-Bug-Splat-and-Game-Crashes so that's no use.

Tried to reconnect and everything at the time, but it just seems to freeze the client. The game seems to have ended now, but makes me wonder if I should try it again or not..
