Lost LP due to in game bugsplat

I dominated this game and led my team to a win, but lost LP due to a bugsplat that made me disconnect from the game. I received "A Fatal Error has Occurred" and was no longer able to even close the game. I had to manually restart my computer, it restored to a previous patch, and had to repatch before I could connect to the game. All in all that process could have cost us the game because baron was up and I disconnected for well on 10 minutes by the time I was able to connect back. I really feel like I should not lose LP for a situation outside of my control and a game that I was a major part in the win. Please remedy this situation for me Riot.
