Katarina needs help
Riot please help Katarina, she isn't an assassin anymore. Remember when assassins would need to wait for the right opportunity to go in and unleash their damage without any delays? Katarina is not that, she needs to wait for someone to be close to her dagger since its like 85% of her damage.
Her shunpo has a delay that should be removed. It makes it clunky and has some odd interactions. For the Katarina mains, getting hit with a Yasuo tornado when you clearly blinked it and get stunned for the knockup duration. For the anti-Katarina mains, when you have a Blitzcrank hook not hook Katarina when you clearly hit her, or Vayne and Tristana having Katarina shunpo through their knockbacks ( e and r). It frustrates a lot of people when these do happen
. Her whole kit after the rework has been buggy and delayed, and doesn't represent who she is anymore. Most of the Katarina mains I have seen on reddit or these boards don't want buffs or a revert ( but I wouldn't mind the revert, at least her kit was more smooth), but to get rid of her delay on her shunpo. It's not really that big of a change in my opinion, no increase of any base damage or scaling, but it will remove a lot of those interactions and make her more smoother to play.
She has been directly and indirectly nerfed many times, high cd shunpo, 75 dmg max rank shunp, less damage on passive, electrocute nerfs, etc. Just make Katarina more smoother to play is all we are asking for. There is still plenty of counterplay since the dagger drop time is still the same and they already know that you have to jump on it to do damage. Right now its annoying to get two shot by an adc at late game while waiting for your daggers to drop, I feel like that more than enough counterplay for an "assassin".
Her laning was supposed to be improved after the rework, but it doesn't feel like that. I'm just asking for you to look into this and please do something, I know you guys are busy, but my main girl is isn't as fun to play anymore. She gets countered by a lot of other mid laners, and to be honest I haven't seen Katarina being played other than the mains. Sure her winrate might be different, but that doesn't really change the fact that she's clunky and doesn't feel like an assassin anymore. I would still want to play her in norms or other game modes where I am allowed to choose my champion, but playing her isn't very fun, I have spent a lot of time on her and it really frustrates me that I die in situations that I shouldn't be due to the delay on her shunpo or the rest of her kit.
