We didn't need most of these interface changes...

I just wanted the XP value font to be a little larger... not all of this!

The absolute worst thing that I found (so far) is moving the lock button to the right side. This feels unnatural, and will probably be the least popular of the whole set of unnecessary interface updates. At least move this back, or else make it a keyboard toggle.
