PLEASE normalize item drops in TFT

I just played a ranked tft, and going into the wolves, I had only 4...let me repeat...4 items dropped, where the 2 people in first had 4 COMPLETED FULL ITEMS, and a NLR to boot on 1st place.

Now, on the wolves, I got 5 items dropped, but by the time I got there, I was already in dead last, so I was expecting those 5, but all of the items that dropped did not fit my comp at all. How am I supposed to play around that?

I'm already at ~35 health, so rebuilding my team from the ground up is nearly not an option. I tried, and with 4 lvl 1s on the field going up against a 3 item stacked 3* Diana and a 2 item stacked 3* Zyra is just not possible.

RNG in rolls is just fine: play around the champs you're given and try to make a build around that instead of forcing a meta build. That's fair, and honestly, that's what I love about TFT because generally you can work around whatever the "meta" is if you know what you're doing.

However, if you're down items for 10 full rounds of fighting, there's just no way to come out of it. I literally got 1 gold off krugs. 1 GOLD!. O N E G O L D. It's insane that that is even an option!

Yes I'm tilted right now so this might come off as just a rant, but that just seems insane to me.

I always feel like playing ranked tft is silly since its so rng dependent and really more of a casual drop in and out of type game.

Yeah, I find it funny they balanced it to make item drops more even throughout the game but stop just before actually making the item drops even.

Apply the same reasoning to any other aspect of the game.

Sometimes you get to pick between 5 champs each roll, or sometimes you get to pick 1! But the number of rolled champs are roughly even throughout the game so its fair.

Or during carousel: some people get to pick 1 or even 2 or 3 items/ champs, while other people get to pick none! But the number people get to pick is roughly even throughout the game so it's fair.
