i shouldn't lose 32LP for getting fourth.

the amount of RP you lose, should not out way the amount you gain by such a huge margin. i get it should be a little higher but when i get 2nd 3 time in a row, have one bad game and lose more then i gained in those 3 games seems overly unbalanced. Braum

Arent you suppost to gain lp for top 4?

Totally agree.

So recently I was playing my smurf account and made it to Platinum 2. My win rate is 24.7% and in my last 10 games, I all made it to Top 4, moreover, 6 out of those 10 games I got 1st place. So in theory, my MMR should be higher than my actual rank. However, the last game I played I got 4th place and I lost 7lp. It's so stupid that I don't even know what to say. Is there any logic behind this freaking system??

And in this situation, I can almost guarantee that if I ever got 8th place I will lose 70+ lp cause that's what happened to my main account and that's also why I don't wanna play my main account.

You can lose lp being 4th or win them being 5th, if the players you are machmatched with are very above/bellow youe rank.

How much you gain or lose is proportional to the difference in mmr between you and the other players in the game.

I imagine this particular result only happens when you're very high up in mmr or when you've queued up with someone much lower then yourself, both of which would push you towards the high end of the range.

Yeah, I'm happy with MMR being involved in the calculation, however it should be like +100%/-50%.(Obviously, this does mean there need to be caps put on who you can duo/trio with.)

And I believe that the main calculation should be something like: 1st +50 2nd +35 3rd +20 4th +5 5th -5 6th -20 7th -35 8th -50
