Minion rounds and items

It's clear everyone sees minion rounds as a glaring issue with the game at the moment. A good chunk of this games tactics is building off what first items and champions you get, it seems crazy to me that you can go the whole first 3 minion rounds without any items while other players can get 4 or 5.

I think that each minion round should give you 1 random item, as long as you kill the minions. No more and no less then 1. Let the RNG of the game be what items and champions you get, not if you can even get an item to begin with.
