RNG is WAY too impactful in TFT and Riot refuses to listen to the community

Since the beginning of TFT the community has criticized the absurd amount of RNG in the mode, only for Riot to double down on it. Riot's statement on the issue is that "RNG makes the mode more replayable", but in reality that "replayability" only comes from frustration - hoping that next time you queue up you'll actually have a chance to win.

There is absolutely no excuse for players getting a different number of items in the creep stages. There is absolutely no reason the economy should punish rolling early and mid so badly that some players will have three 3 star champions before other players have three 2 star champions. Of course the champions you get should be random, but the current economic system is absolutely atrocious and exacerbates the huge RNG issues in this game.

If Riot would just make semi-logical decisions this mode could be 10x better. It's obvious that they either don't care about the mode at all, or they're completely incompetent when it comes to designing this type of game.

Okay, while i agree with you, the main thing that i saw which stood out in your post is that Riot claims it makes the game more replayable. Thats a trip! When the patch came out i was like FK THIS PATCH OMGGG I HATE THIS SO MUCH- then i lost like 4 ranks lol and was super pissed... but for SOME REASON I felt compelled to keep playing, like "I know i can figure this out" "It's not all luck, I know I can beat this meta" and it sorta worked... I started going from 5th/6ths to 3rds and 4ths then 1sts more and more frequently (not frequent enough though imo lol) but yeah, its a trip how struggle makes people want to play a game more... is it a sales tactic? idk... but one could argue that even though this is a game which focuses on RNG manipulation that most games are at least close to winnable if the perfect path was chosen. If you look at league (SR) some games are basically just a shit show for 45 minutes cuz of TRULY bad luck (afks, trolls, etc)- that's why i love TFT, because the game is in your hands, maybe you don't get the "luck" you needed, or maybe you weren't adaptable enough, but at least there is a way to increase your chances of placing higher, albeit not always first. Anyway, just chill and give it another shot and you'll improve- glhf

I listed some ideas a while back to address some of TFT's more frustrating elements.
