Why is this so punishing

I got weak champions early (a "lot" of morde, fiora, graves with no consistent gunslinger/pirates or red buff items) I built somehow "viable" comp but still had a loss streak. I tried buying some decent champions to see if i get something, while being destroyed by guys who snatched early assassins, knight-brawlers, etc I finally found comp i could go for. I could go for this comp. If my hp would not be <30 before raptors. Damage is ridiculous, especially when i (constant 7-8 place) was placed against 100 hp first place at least three times. When i got champions and even some items for comp i wanted, next game i got destroyed by guy above me who had full lvl6 2 star team with 6 star kassa. And got 21 damage.

How was this fair?
