Why am I facing Plats EVERY Ranked game when I am currently Silver?

Last season I finished Plat tft. I did my placements for this season which where up and down and got placed Bronze 4. Now I would have thought I play against Silvers and but apprently MMR plays a big part in ranked TFT. This means I still face Plats, see proof in this image https://imgur.com/LrJvyYS

This is annoying as it making the climb for me a lot slower, and I know if I was against my current ranked I would be climbing faster. I finish top four most games and even when I win a few I am not jumping ranks, I get the same LP as if I were facing Silvers or Bronze players. I guess I generally feel gutted I have been placed me back down to bronze but then have to face against Plat players still and grind.

I want to know is this the same for everyone? Plus I feel it is a matter that should be addressed if it is.

Maybe you actually had diamond+ mmr. I had plat mmr last season and I still played bronze-silver people after I finished my placements and got iron.

Because Riot hard reset ranks but only soft reset MMR.

Yes, it's the same for everyone.

Riot did a hard rank reset and a soft MMR reset and this is the results of that action.

I'm sure Riot is trying out this method of reset on a less volatile game space, where people are more chill, less people effected and the season ends faster. Once they know what happens, then they'll learn from it. Depending on what they learnt, they might change something with SR rank resets.

Because TFT functions differently. You can face anyone from Iron to Plat while being in Silver. You can also rank with anyone from Iron to Gold.
